We are pleased to bring you a short interview with Robert Devoto, Argentina bonsai, owner of Bonsai Center in Argentina.

- Dear friends of all bonsai: I'm flattered that you have chosen me for this interview.

- What is Bonsai couple to you, what it means in your life?
tell you to start the Bonsai is part of my life, helped me to improve practice and look more deeply into the nature, year after year through its four seasons and
understand that everything takes time.

- How long do you do to Bonsai?
over half a century ago. On September 20th I meet my first 70 years young and when I went to primary school (between 10 and 12 years) had a classmate that his mother and grandmother were in Japan and on the terrace of the cleaners had and cultivating bonsai with them I started and I have two conifers that time more than 50 years, which of course are not for sale.

- How do you see this evolution in Argentina art?

Although some 80 years ago there were many Japanese immigrants, the way we work in an individualistic way (such as politics, football, etc..) Did not allow us
leverage their knowledge and progress more quickly.

- Have you participated and collaborated on several projects related to this art, could NAR mentioned the most important?

When I was younger modest wrote two books, "The Art of Bonsai" and "decorative trees" that do not re-edited it to go training, improving and doing some things contrary to what he said
in books, would correct them participated in competitions and most importantly, have written a program of "Basic Course on Bonsai" that is approved by the National Council for Technical Education Vocational area. I could write it and present it in parallel to Bonsai teacher worked 37 years as an instructor of technical and vocational training.

- What is Bonsai Center?
Bonsai Center ® is a two-story built with our own hands (my family and I) who is in Buenos Aires, in the city of Monte Grande (5 minutes Ezeiza Airport), with a classroom
- workshop closed and an open courtyard, where are the courses (Basic and Superior) and a nursery where we have culture, Bonsai Exhibition and Sale, pre bonsai, seedlings, pots and accessories

- What your library: What's your favorite example?

Undoubtedly, my Bonsai Halep preferred is a pine seed that started over 50 years in which I appear filmed in the series of photos on our site.

- What species recommended for starters? Why?

I suggest that beginners always start with indigenous trees and they can be easily cultivated in order to carry on and not suffer losses.
- What are some tips for beginners, which will save eror?
To make as few mistakes as possible, it is best to first become a "luxury gardener" (having knowledge compositions of soil, pruning, sanitation, safe transplants),
know the basic principles of horticulture and only after a good "Master" and good books.

- What are your plans for the future?

We are very pleased my wife and I that we have assembled for the practice and dissemination of Bonsai, and we constantly taking two courses with more than 30 people each, as a future project to further disseminate the art of Bonsai and go slowly looking for "family" to about 20 trees that are on sale and should be continued.
